Are you thinking of buying a puppy?
STOP! Don't don't get conned like we did,
after seeing an ad. for KC reg rottweilers,
trusting the people we bought one and they said
they would send us the papers as soon as they got
them. After two months and still no papers and
no end of phone calls we decovered through
another person that the dogs had no KC papers
only pedigree papers, which are completely
different, we paid £300.00 for our dog which we
should have be able to buy for less than £150.00.
So if you are going to buy a pup and you want
papers, don't unless they can give you the
registration docs, which they should have before
you take the puppy home.

Hi, I own a guinea pig called Blackie I think you
could guess what colour she is. She used to live
with a rabbit called Tessa but Tessa sadly died
of a heart attack. So I bought another 2 guinea
pigs (all female) to keep Blackie company. Though
they all fought. Anyway a couple of months later,
my 2 new female guinea pigs had 3 baby's. Strange
isn't it! So anyway my friend is taking 2 of the
babies and we are keeping 1. Another person I
know though was going to buy some guinea pigs at
a shop but realised we really had a boy guinea
pig ang asked if we could beed some more. I am
going to try and breed Blackie and Piglet the
male guinea pig. This is sooo amazing. Anyway
what I was wondering was if anyone in Edinburgh
who wants free baby guinea pigs then please
contact me if you can give them a good home.

I'm a four-month old german shepherd/collie cross
puppy and I've been with my humans for just over
a month now. I'm a very clever dog and I've been
learning heaps of things very quickly, but one
thing I really hate is walking to heel on the
lead.

Are there any other dogs (or humans) out there
who could give me and my humans some tips on good
lead technique cos the method we're using (from
an excellent Bruce Fogle training book) doesn't
seem to be making any of us very happy!

 Email: ali@tappajabba.freeserve.co.uk
hello,
in the Year of Promise I have promised to offer
free advice to anyone who asks concerning pets
and especially reptiles ,who always seem to get a
bum deal when it comes to being called a pet.

I have City and Guilds in petstore management and
animal husbandry,I have attended Exotic Petcare
courses organised by the SSPCA(Scottish Society
for the Provention of Cruelty to Animals).

Most of my life I have been connected in some way
with the looking after of animals.

For 23years i have kept and bred various shapes
and sizes of cagebirds in my aviaries,I have
always owned dogs, mostly terriers, have kept and
bred and worked polecats/ferrets and for the last
eight years or so have kept and bred various
reptiles.

At present I possess 2 dogs , two polecats , two -
sometimes eight - rabbits , a pond of fish , an
aquarium of tropical fish , four water-dragons ,
twenty seven snakes of various species ,
tarantulas , scorpions and various other wee
lizards.

Theres bound to be something I have left out and
not meant to , but getting back to my promise , I
hope I have shed enough light to sort of at least
show that I have some knowledge of the beast and
look forward to hearing from any of you out
there!!!
See ya.

HI,
I have recently got two new Guinea Pigs called
Rusty and Fudge and they are only 7 weeks old.
The problem is they keep sneezing. Do they have a
cold, or could there be another cause. Should I
take them to a vet?

Please reply if you can help me.

 Email: david.key@virgin.net
My pet Alsatian has been diagnosed as having
Megoesophagus (my dog is exhibiting
gagging/retching of white froth ) after meals and
she is coughing and cannot always keep her food
down. Our VET informs us that the condition is
not treatable! We are in the UK and will try
anything to cure her. I cannot believe that there
is nothing we can do.

PLEASE HELP

Your kindness will be rewarded

Kind regards

I have a 7 yr old dog great dane - black. he has
a skin problem - scabby spots appearing on his
fur which seem to grow into red sores. They do
not irritate him but he loses his fur on these
patches. It is costing rather a lot at the vets.
and wondered if anyone could offer any
suggestions on alternative treatments.

 Subject: Walking problems with dog
 Email: tinker1@netvigator.com
Hi, Hope you can help me. I have a two year old
Bearded Collie, female, who is just a love.
however, when we are walking off leash, at a
certain point in the walk, she refuses to go any
further, she is fine on the trails, it's when she
gets to the concreted areas, she, I think
presumes a car is going to come and she gets very
nervous, ( this is a car free area) she just lays
down on back and will not move. Can any advise
me as to what we can do to combat this behaviour,
it has only just started within the last month,
changing the walk area has not helped either. I
have bought a harness/leash, but hate to have her
leashed on the trails. Any help would be welcomed
many thanks.
